I'd be surprised since Biggio has had a normal career pattern for a superstar - no weird spikes in performance and a slow steady decline through his mid-to-late 30's.

As you probably know, there have been rumors surrounding Biggio for many years involving the use of steroids. I really hope nothing becomes of it because he is such a great guy and has done so much for the game.

Oh wow. I don't think so. He's a small guy who rarely got hurt. If he was using an illegal substance, I'd be shocked. He just hustled a lot and crowded the plate. That's not evidence of anything unnatural.

Doubt it. He was never a big guy, and his offensive numbers had been going down, down, down for the last few years. His last really good season was 1998, when he was 32. Offensively, he's been right around league-average (and usually below) since 2000.
