You just named your biggest problem. Stop procrastinating! You can't do your best work when the clock is ticking that fast!
Find a quiet area and always go there to do your homework. Keep a calendar with all your assignment "due dates" listed so you can see the progress you're making and don't let work pile up.
Put all the tools of study in your study area (paper, pens, computer, dictionary, thesaurus, whatever else your work needs).
Set a specific time to study each day. Don't wait until you're too tired to concentrate. Leave your phone far away from your work area. Turn off the stereo and TV. Work a reasonable time and take short breaks as needed. When you begin to see the positive results of studying the right way, you'll be proud (and rightly so) of your progress and your grades will show it. Education is something that will work for you your whole life! Take it seriously.

First of all turn off all distractions such as TV, radio, Ipod, whatever. If there are any distractions where you live go to the library where it is always quiet and nobody can distract you. Make a schedule for how long you are going to work on this packet. Don't let anything interrupt you during this schedule. In your schedule make sure to include time for breaks because sometimes you just need to clear your head for a while. Oh and don't spend too much time on one question. Skip it and come back to it.

Go to the library where you can have quiet.
Study for a while, then take a short break - such as taking a brisk walk around the block and getting a healthy snack (brain food) and some water. Then get back to it.

Don't study where you'll have distractions - like TV or internet. Get off of yahoo answers and get to work!! LOL

One attitude to contemplate is to checklist the substantial techniques from the text cloth you're analyzing in a studying log to capture your ideas in the time of analyzing. conceal the substantial techniques in a quick and telegraphic precis, yet in addition provide your comments or ask questions, e.g., approximately something doubtful, or approximately data that helps or contradicts the author, or thinking a pair of question left unanswered. Incomplete sentences and abbreviations are nice. For proper effects, don’t write something till you have complete analyzing each section, once you are able to perceive the substantial advice. Now, you're possibly asserting, that sounds like this is going to take extra time, yet this is purely in the quick run. once you are able to desire to income for a try, you reread your studying log, and the techniques all come back to you. you do no longer could desire to study the e book returned.

yes, go to the area where you want to work. Make sure it's away from the tv, computer, email, telephone, people.

Sit down and focus on only the paper, nothing else! Don't let yourself say "I work better with the tv on" or "I will make one quick phone call" or "I will check my email" etc.

Stick to the work, nothing else. Whatever it is you have to do other than your paper WILL WAIT for you, stick to the paper.

Just get it done. Figure out how long it will take to do do it and pre-plan like 5-10 min breaks. This will allow you to move around, and have fresh "ideas" whe you come back!
