My boyfriend doesn't know his SS number. His mother may not give him his card. She is angry with him and might with hold it. Where would we go to get another card with his number on it? He is almost 22 and doesn't have his memorized. Mature responses only please. Thank you!!!

He'll have to go to the social security administration office, he would do well to see if he can call ahead first to see what all they will require him to bring, (at are minimum they will require a picture ID and his birth certificate but they may require much more).

You can get the number from his tax returns, or possibly his drivers license. Go to your local Social Security Office, and explain, that he has misplaced his card. If you don't have the number, they can look it up for him. He will need some form of identification, preferably a government issued picture ID.

If he doesn't know his social security number how does he work and file taxes? If he goes to college how did he get in? How did he get a drivers license? As mentioned, go to the Social Security office nearest to you.

He can go to the local social security office and tell him that he lost his card and he cannot remember his number. He will have to have identification and maybe a birth certificate.
