Mine are prescription so together with the jam jar bottoms and the ting, the lenses are VERY thick. They make me top heavy. I don't wear them very often.

Only when I drive and it is really bright. Did you try finding the clip on kind that you put on your normal glasses? Also (these are geeky but they do the trick) they have just a thin piece of plastic that slips down between your glasses and your face like an insert. You should be able to find one at an eye doctors or Walmart vision center.

I wear glasses too but I don't have prescription sunglasses so I don't wear sunglasses often, usually only when I'm a passenger in the car on long journeys or when I'm lazing about in the sun in the garden. I don't get on with contacts so I can't see when I have sunnies on, unless I wear them over my usual glasses which is not a good look. Oh and I totally sympathise with you on the jam jar bottoms thing, know how that feels!

I used to wear them all the time but I stuffed up.
I have a mild prescription; I broke/warn out my goggles.
We went OS so I thought I'd get some duty free and get the lenses made when I got home.
Bought these really great ones, rim less RayBans but when I got home the optometrist said no, can't do rim less.
Bugger.
They cost about $150 and in the shops at home they're about $250.
I got so despondent that I've not fixed it.
They just sit on my bed side table... looking at me!

Never, because I wouldn't be able to see where I was going. I do have some glasses that go darker in the sun, but they're not as efficient as sunglasses. Glass lenses would be too heavy for me as well.

Only when the sun shines lol!!!! Seriously usually only when I am driving the car and the sun is out or if I am out and about on a sunny day as it makes my eyes screw up! Oh and of course when I am abroad which isn't very often!

I had the same problem with my prescription sunglasses so opted for ultra thin verifocals instead and they are brilliant, now I wear them as often as the sun shines.

I never wore sunglasses until I moved south a year ago. Now, I wear them pretty much daily because we rarely have a day without sunshine. (unlike Ohio, especially in the winter)

Not often only when the sun comes out

Whenever it is sunny and I am outside or in my car, I wear mine. People who wear them at night or inside, unless they are suffering from a medical condition, should be smacked.
