Because we don't like the fact that we're being left. We sometimes like to hold onto things, and relationships are one of those things. Some women have a hard time letting go and don't adjust well to change. Others do, though.

I'm sure they have accepted the fact that the man wants out and I'm sure they want out to maybe they just want a fair settlement( remember this is guess only a guess )

The bastard still owed me money, so my solicitor told me to hold off signing until he paid up......because if he'd died before the money was signed over, after the Absolute, I'd have been left penniless. Was so funny he went out to celebrate his divorce and didn't realise he was still married for another 6 months.....Thick sod, and no he didn't die either....shame!!!

If we new what women wanted, we would be genius's. They never can decide. When they do, they waffle. Guys-we make a decision and move on.

Because there is likely unsettled issues. Who pays for the kids? Who gets the kids? Joint custody? He is a cheater? Has he spent all their savings? Will she be stuck paying half of all the debt he has? Lots of reasons.

it happened to me. i am not signing the divorce papers for him to realized how painful it is and with this, he will be able to ponder how important my signature before pushing thru with the process. i feel important once again. my LOVE for him is gone. i will live by it for a while before i sign. before, i was running after him not to leave me, not he runs after me to sign the papers. i just want him to experience what i had.

Some women (note SOME) do it to be spiteful. They want their ex to be as miserable as possible ... lol, one last 'kick at the cat' kinda thing, I suppose. :)
