how can i create a coin spinning machine with elastic and/or gravitational energy and maximize the the spin time?

Spin a coin so that its angular moment is aligned parallel to the Earth gravitational field. Then release the coin. The only major things that will increase the spin time is the amount of energy you can put into the coin and while minimizing the amount of friction between the coin and the surface. Should we ignore air resistance?
