think its ok to show thier dissaproval of your personal opinion by attacking your character? i was recently told i should not be allowed to vote because of what my profile information says.
☼grundle goat☼ - About me: i am Polly, a 24 year old happily commited lesbian, housewife, recovering addict, and proud parent :) .......i am a medicated bipolar person etc.
***Proof that some people should not be allowed to vote.**** (is what they said)
wtf? would it have made them happier to know i was a drug addicted sl*t off my meds with children that i abused? just because they disagreed with my opinion they felt it necessary to attack my personal life. how hypocritical is that? if i was ashamed of my life and my accomplishments i wouldnt have posted it for the world to see. i know i just wasted 5 points btw. your opinion is your opinion but there is no need to make personal attacks, we arent politicians.

Polly, you were my first contact. You answered my question when no one else would. I read your profile and immediately admired you Bigtime and wanted to know you. You are an outstanding and very funny person. And a smart cookie. Why let someone like that overshadow who you are and what you have accomplished.
Don't give power to someone like that by dwelling on it-which isn't easy, I know.
As my Grammy would say: "Just consider the source, Honey."
I Love You Girl.

Not one of us is without sin. Therefore, no one's character can be attacked by other human beings. Everyone has the right to vote.
I am very happy that you have made a decision to stop doing drugs. That says something for your character. So does the fact that you love your children. I am sorry that you are bipolar. I will pray that you can overcome this difficulty.
Your personal life is your decision also. I hope that you know that Jesus loves you just as you are. He does tell us that certain decisions that we make can either hurt or help us. If you don't know Him, I pray that you will. If you do know Him, I pray that you will understand his ways for us to follow for our good. I wish you the best.

Hi Polly- Something I learned many years ago. When someone tries to whittle you down to size because you are different it is because you have made an impression on them. They do it to me all the time and I accept it as a complement to what ever it is that upsets them. You will see my questions with derogatory comments in YA. I'm 70 and have lived a life different from yours, but we are all different in one way or another. It doesn't mean we are wrong.

Polly,
You stand proud for being you!!
first of all, being in recovery you have my hats off! My husband is in recovery and I know from experience what one goes through working a program and staying on task.
As for being gay and a medicated Bipolar, Hell, we all love "DIVERSITY" in our friends!!
You just stand tall and be happy, don't know one really knows you enough to say what you should, could, need to or have to do in your life!!
You're MY contact and friend and the reason you're my contact is BECAUSE of your profile!!!
You know the saying..."One day at a Time"
A.

You have every right to be proud of who you are and proud of the things that you have accomplished!! You've moved forward a million miles on a very hard road, they just can't handle the fact that you have moved forward and they still standing in the same place!! Don't let them get to you!!

Some ppl are ignorant. Atleast you accept who you are and stand up for yourself. Maybe they had a bad upbringing or are ashamed of their lives. Good for you fo being able to put that out there for ppl to see. I commend that.

I agree with you. Someday the vote will be tied and these same people that try to put you down are going to come to you and beg you to break the tie. Then you can tell all of them what they can do with their vote. (shove it). Sorry, got carried away. lol.

MY personal opinion is you should be very proud that you have overcome all of your problems. I think you should be able to do anything you want . Screw them. They have more problems than you cause they are too dumb to even realize theirs. You go girl!!!

People are judgemental of others because they don't like themself.
If you are truly comfortable with yourself, and like who you are, you don't worry about trying to change or influence others.
Ignore them.
