for halloween, my friend mary (she's one of my best friends) and I are going out as some kind of sexy fairies or whatever, and my best friend maura wants me to go with her as gangsters, but i think thats stupid, so i told her i was going with mary and now she wants to come with us but i don't want her to, 'cause she's just kind of weird and annoying most of the time. i love her and all, but i just want to go with mary. how can i tell maura we don't want her to come without her getting upset? she gets upset over EVERYTHING. she gets all whiney and mad at me. how can i tell her?

Ok - first off, I'd like to know why your "Best Friend" is weird & annoying. Do you like hanging out with weird & annoying people?

Secondly, if Maura gets so upset about everything, it sounds to me like she's something of a drama queen.

If she gets upset about everything, then there is nothing you can tell her that she won't get upset about. Don't lie - just tell her the truth. She IS your best friend, right? If that's the case, then she will understand - eventually. And if she doesn't, then she doesn't have a clue as to how you really feel about her.

I wouldn't want to be in your shoes....but good luck anyway. I hope she understands.

well.. it is kind of hard telling her that.. but if she whines about it.. tell her that this world is full of imperfections and everyone should be hurt at sometimes.. tell her that she should understand you for once.. try it... it might work.. goodluck
