Singing: Country Roads (had a country band once, and that was the most requested, next to Proud Mary)
Listening: Annie's Song, This Old Guitar (mine is 36 years old and has been all over the world with me).
The first time I met the daughter of a friend at a church retreat, she and I sat up until 1 a.m. singing John Denver songs. She knows EVERY ONE of them!

Where to even begin! I'm glad John Denver still "lives" on this site :-) One of my favorites is Cowboy's Delight. Annie's Song is always a winner. And Rocky Mountain High, is what he was all about.

I like all John Denver's songs, but my sentimental favorite has to be 'Country Roads' since I was born and raised in WV. I still visit, since much of my family is still there.

I've always loved all of his songs. "This Old Guitar" has always been one of my very favorites. I play it on my piano quite often. When I was a teen I had such a huge crush on him, and I guess I still do. I was ready to run away with him to the Rocky Mountains, even though he was about 12 years older than me, it didn't matter! He was such a wonderful singer, songwriter, and environmentalist. He cared so much for the wilderness and it's creatures. Miss you, John!
