i have two balls in my dryer it makes the clothes nice and soft,

it's easy. If you use say downy, just look for a downy ball (a plstic thing with an opening at the top, with a ring through the lid that closes it.) Pour the downy into the ball to the line (on the ball), and throw it into the wash. Presto easy done. It goes in the same time as the soap and clothes.

You have to add liquid fabric softener to the final rinse cycle of the washer.

Most, fi not all, washer have a compartment where you pour in the liquid softener. At a certain point in the cycle, it gets released

You put up to a capful (or the whole package if you are using the little baggies at a laundromat) of the liquid in the washer when the washer is on the "rinse" cycle.

Pour it in during the beginning of the rinse cycle is how you're supposed to do it......or if you're super lazy I found it works almost as well if you just put it in at the beginning of the wash........Not how it's supposed to be done though.

I use the downey ball. just pour the stuff in and then throw the ball in at the begining. Easy Shmeezy.
