You mean like putting turtles on a leash? No- don't do it.

Letting the turtles out to walk in the sun? Should not be necessary as long as they have the right habitats, and handling/moving turtles stresses them.

I don't know about walking a turtle but I do take my turtles outside when it is nice so they can eat grass and enjoy the sun but I do keep a close eye on them.

If you want just put him outside and let him check out your backyard. I know from experience that they can be fast, so make a turtle leash.
Go here: http://home.comcast.net/~medievaldays/box_turtles.html
Go to the section, "Substitute Items" to make a safe turtle leash.

You can put them in the bathtub and they'll walk around in there. but turtles do not need excessive because they're always swimming 90% of the time
