yes, they are from a power conference, and they were ranked going into the season, but undefeated or not I don't think they could hang with the likes of oklahoma or usc. anyone else feel this way?

You know, as much as I love the Buckeyes, I am disappointed by the patsies we schedule for the first half of every season anymore. Even the Big Ten schedule isn't much to look forward to. I think OSU can come in and get the job done because each player is carrying his own weight and holding his position, but until we play someone really worthy, we can't be positive we're the real thing.
On the OTHER hand: OH! IO! Go Bucks!

Oklahoma is not quite a powerhouse and I think the Big 12 is overrated this year. USC struggles with Washington and Ohio State dominated them. What does Ohio State have to do to be a worthy #1? all the other teams that are suppose to be able to put a beating on them lose games to below average teams or struggle to beat average ones. A win out is what a team needs to ideally go to the BCS Bowl. Is that not what OSU is hoping to do?

They can hang with any of them right now. They are the best in the Nation, and when the updated polls come out, Ohio State will be #1.
Right now they they are the team to beat. Let's just hope that they do not fall into the top 5 slump. LSU ans USC out of the picture, that just leaves Oklahoma, which should move up to 3 this week.

I don't believe we can call the Big Ten a power conference this year (couldn't really last year either).
They're #1 because they're unbeaten, but I believe Oklahoma is the best team in the nation.

What exactly have they done to back up your claim? Did they lose? No. Has any of the teams they played even put up a fight? No.
