Hmm, let's look at the other teams: LSU lost. USC lost. Oklahoma lost. Cal lost. And it's not like they're beating each other. LSU was the only one of those teams that lost to a top 25 team, not all their wins were that convincing.

I don't know what kind of logic you like to use, but zero losses beats 1 loss, especially if that one loss is not to a power team. Ohio State is undefeated. They have not lost a regular season game since 2005. All the other so-called powers have lost. If Ohio State finishes the season #1 with 2 losses you may have a point, but until them, you haven't a leg to stand on.

Seems to be new rules this year in rankings.

For as long as i can remember, this was the formula good or bad to be a # 1. If you win out by beating all the good or average opponents, demolishing the bad ones and other teams fail to accomplish this you are a worthy #1 ranked team. Ohio State has accomplish this so far, other teams have not.

Probably not, but then neither does anyone else. You can't seriously say that South Florida is the best team in the country (even with the win at Auburn and beating West Virginia at home).

Besides, South Florida loses Thursday in Piscataway.

Well...who else?
Ohio State is the only team deserving of the #1 spot, but fact is they are not the #1 team in the nation.

I hate to say it but yes.
Who else do u put at 1 right now.
They won't be 1 at the end of the season. They have a tough schedule here out.

USF should be number 1 if u look at what they have done this season. If you are a dumb homer and think USF would get blown out by OSU then you will pick OSU. USF won at Auburn and beat West Virginia. OSU beat Purdue and Washington?

They are undefeated...but they really haven't played anyone...I'm really not convinced on those Big Ten teams....the level of competition is not there....I honestly think that Ohio State does not stand a chance against LSU (even though they lost) or Oklahoma.

Few teams actually deserve the ranking they get.

No, if they had beaten mighty Kent St. by 1 more touchdown than yes
