Meteorologists are a little limited in their job opportunities. They pretty much are locked into TV/radio, National Weather Service, or university/research facility. This also limits their income to a certain extent.

Lawyers can operate privately, in a partnership, or in a state job like District Atty or prosecutor. He can work in any field from criminal law to business law to probate law to divorce law, etc. His income is pretty much unlimited. However, there are so many lawyers now that the competition is pretty fierce in some areas. And the stress level is astronomical compared to a meteorologist!

These are very different. One deals with science and the other deals with interaction with people. There are a lot more job opportunities for lawyers than meteorologists and a lot of different types of law to specialize in.
