My Gandpa wasn't "book" smart, but he was a very wise man who rarely spoke. I remember him saying " Listen more than you speak, You'll learn more that way "... and so, I do.

When what you are saying makes sense and others realize you are saying what they, themselves are thinking. Speaking up is not always popular, but the people with strength and conviction do it all of the time.

When I find out that the person I am conversing with is an idiot. Then I just walk away.

I'm always quiet.
Particularly around those who are better than me at something and I feel inferior to them.
Or when I'm embarrassed or about to cry, I refuse to talk.

...when I pray , I pray in silence....it's the loudest "silent" voice I know of....
