Did you read Wetzel's column about it on the NCAAF Yahoo sports section front page? The BCS has to go, Ohio State who has beaten no quality teams? Look at how all the teams pad the beginning of the year with weak teams to build up their own record? It's all about politics, the bowl system, and keeping the same money going into the same hands. This year of upsets has proven that none of them know anything about picking winners. All of the polls, the coahs, the journalists, all of them were wrong. The time for a playoff system is long over due.

The polls are wrong because the voters have hidden and conflicting agendas.

The ORIGINAL BCS rankings were perfect because they revolved around margin of victory and margin of victory is EVERYTHING when predicting outcomes and reaching TRUE rankings.

That's why Las Vegas smirks at polls and utilizes Gambling Specific Power Ratings, like the BGS Power Ratings, when creating pointspreads.

In gambling specific pointspreads, margin of victory vs strength of schedule delivers accuracy and that's why Las Vegas is willing to put money on it.

You can find the latest BGS Power Ratings on my Yahoo! blog, where I update them every week

Stop having polls before the season is in full swing. Why have a poll before the season? Why have it after the first two weekends when the big schools are warming up with Division I-AA (yeah I know App State beat Michigan, but Michigan is having a down year). Polls do nothing but keep Sports writers employed and give the ESPN talking heads something to drone on about. They are useless until teams have played at least half their schedule. Then you can get an idea how a team should be ranked.

I agree, it is all about the money. A Great team from a small school doesn't have a chance when they go up against a team such as USC...
I said the BCS had to go several years ago when the "top" spot was tied....
There should be a system that allows a relatively unknown team to go up against the big boys!

The BCS is a joke. For accurate Ratings I use the BGS Power Ratings, found right here on Yahoo!
