okay, I got a HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One. I got 3 laptops. The 1 laptop is already out of the game park. Were not going to use this laptop for the printer.
We got 2 more laptops.
#1 and #2. #1 is mine, and #2 is like a sharing laptop for the whole family.
We both wanna go wireless, but #2, cant go wireless as much, so it might stay where it is, on the desk.I have the printer hooked up on #1. I want to share this printer with the 2 other computers. The owner of #1(me) wants to scan pictures and put it on my laptop. I really want this all-in-one on #2, but How would I scan pictures and documents and still get them to my computer without #1?? I heard of this software, but I never downloaded it. I don't think it is possible, but some way may be possible.
Anyone got any advice?
Thanks

Unless the allinone allows scan via TCP/IP interface (network) you cannot do it.

Only really the "office focused" models allow scan via ethernet. So you're going to be limited to scan to PC connected to it, and email / share file

Why not scan the file, save it. Copy to a CD or flash drive, move the CD or flash drive to the other computer, plug it in, and copy the file to that computer?

Don't make this harder than it really is!

Buy a router.
