logx (base 5) + 4log2 (base 5) = 2log8 (base 5)
logx (base 5) + log2^4 (base 5) = log8^2 (base 5)
logx (base 5) = log8^2 (base 5)- log2^4 (base 5)
logx (base 5) = log(8^2/2^4) (base 5)
logx (base 5) = log(64/16) (base 5)
logx (base 5) = log(4) (base 5)
5^x=5^4
x=4

You should know this rule that applies, provided the logs are the same base.
loga + logb = logab
Also log a^n = n log a
simplifing using the above rules. (I will not bother writing base 5)
logx +log2^4 = log8^2
log16x = log 64
16x = 64
x=4

Assume log is log to base 5 in the following:-
log x + 4 log 2 = 2 log 8
log x + log 2^4 = log 8²
log x + log 16 = log 64
log x = log 64 - log 16
log x = log ( 64 / 16 )
log x = log 4
x = 4
