Was a small two wheel bike as a birthday present when I was 8 ... I was learning to ride it when WW2 broke out and I was evacuated, leaving the bike at home... I remember the make was a Crosby. I next saw the bike 18 months later when my mum had it sent to Wales where I was evacuated and I remember riding the valleys and the villages of South Wales on it.. I didn't have another bike till I was 15 and was able to buy it with my wages from a paper round...

a 1952 James sports captain. and it had a huge handle bar mounted fairing with a windscreen. and two huge black leather box carriers either side of the back wheel. i used it for work when i was 16. i loved that bike. it was stolen within the year and i never saw it again. the number plate was coo 63. and i think it was a 175 cc. if anyone's got it. GIVE IT BACK!!! that was way back in 1964.
