Your body gets dehydrated when you drink and the hangover is they body's way of getting water from other parts of the body to the parts that need it most but there isn't enough, so if you alternate your alcoholic drinks with water then your hangovers won't be so bad. Also eat something before you start and while you are drinking.

It’s your bodies defence system saying “no more”.
Overindulgence when drinking alcohol severely dehydrates a person’s fluid; the fluids around the brain act as a cushion to shield it from the cranium bone. Thus, dehydration =’S one full-size headache. If you drink plenty of water now, you will feel mildly recovered within a short space of time. But prevention is always better that the cure.

Pace yourself. Eat a little bit as you drink. If you're hung over..this is my cure: Take 2 Advil and two cups of steaming coffee, lie down in a dark room and put an ice pack on the bridge of your nose and forehead. If your stomach is churning take a couple of tablespoons of Pepto Bismol. Good luck!

Sorry Amos but you have to finally accept that you are getting old! I speak from experience! I find the best way to deal with it is to sleep it off the next day, not such a good idea if you've got work though!!

I always take 4 ibuprofen and drink water or Gatorade before I go to bed after a night of drinking. it helps with the morning headache and I am not dehydrated when I awake so I don't feel sluggish and crappy.

GOOD LUCK!

You're getting older. That fine ability to bounce back quickly starts to go away.

Welcome to my world.
