I mean, I say "hi" to them when I meet them outside, and that is all. I am not interested, I have my own life. But some people told me that it's because I am a spoiled brat. Is it really a must to meet your neighbours and be friends with them? It seems such a chore. Maybe it will be to these neighbours as well, why can't we stay as we are?

There nothing wrong about being friendly to your neighbors but its not actually A MUST to meet your neighbours.

If my neighbour would be a bad example to me and my family, of course, i wouldnt let any members of the family to be w/ them, but if you think theres no sign of being a bad neighbor? hmm just be civil and casual!

Just be happy and live your life to the fullest!

Ny there is nothing wrong with having things the way they are. Although it is always nice to be friendly with the neighbours there is nothing wrong with not actually befriending them.
