For about the last 4 or so years I have had a problem with water retention, mainly in my feet and ankles. They swell a lot, and its not something that comes on over the day, I have it when I get up and it can be really bad by 10.00am. It's spreading now though. I have had to take my wedding ring off, and even my eyelids swell sometimes. I am overweight, but exercise, especially walking makes my shins and calves really hurt, even after just a few minutes at a vigourus pace. Been to Docs a few times over the years, but despite loads of blood tests they have come up with nothing. s'really bad because I am already a size 8 in shoes and I cannot get anything to fit my feet anymore.

When you become dehydrated; your body excretes less water and bloating sets in. Water retention medically known as edema can be caused by a number of factors from normal shifts in the body fluids to excess dietary sodium; and systemic diseases of the heart; liver, or kidney diseases.

If you don't have frequent or regular bowel movement, the body absorbs the poison from the partially digested food in the intestinal tract. This constipation encourages the body to retain fluids to dilute these poisons.

In females, water retention may be due to cyclical bloating before the menstrual periods;

The most common local conditions causing edema,are varicose veins and thrombophlebitis causing venous insufficiency. Other conditions are post-operative swelling and inflammation.

Prolonged standing. Ill -fitting shoes are all other causes. If corrective measures such as elevating your feet upon sitting; compression hose stockings; addressing your obesity problems.and dietary changes such as salt restriction diets do not correct the edema problem. Regular exercise done routinely increases energy level. Even simple walking for 2o min daily is beneficial. it ought to, even though it relatively is not any longer the whey protein it relatively is inflicting it. have you ever regarded on the aspects? Protein shakes, mixes, supplements are made with a ton of aspects. Creatine is usually extra to protein supplements that could reason some water retention. the place the water is retained relies upon on the place your physique needs to make it take place. hence i do no longer take something. i've got not in a pair of decade, via fact a lot of issues are put in those supplements, maximum of them being of chemical names that maximum are unfamiliar with. It occurs in usual foodstuff too. I observed on a can of hen noddle soup that milk became into extra. i'm lactose illiberal, so i'm thinking what the heck do they desire milk in there for? The final element is surely a preservative. Now, in the event that they did no longer upload the milk in there for no obvious reason, might they desire the preservative? probable no longer.
