Let's see how the BSC rankings turn out. If Ohio State is No. 1 then the system needs to be scrapped. Ohio St could go undefeated this year and never play a Top 20 team.

No, built into the BCS system is a strength of schedule system that rewards teams for playing tough non-conference opponents. Also, teams with weak conferences, like Hawaii in the WAC won't get as many BCS points as someone in the Pac Ten.

Weak conferences- a majority of the 12 game schedule is played v conference opponents. That being said- if a team does go undefeated through the whole season - even if it's the big east or ACC- then they earned the right to play for the title.

Not exactly.
If you look back over the years at the pick, it has done pretty well.
In 2004 with the Auburn situation, the 2 best teams ended up playing for the national championship.
Everyone can complain about "weak" conferences like the Big East, ACC, and even the WAC somehow diminishing how it should really be and that is never the case.

North Carolina isn't the only college that performs a vulnerable non-convention schedule. a much better majority of D-a million faculties do. the ability convention faculties tend to play a softer non-convention to get waiting for convention play. provides them an excellent gamble to artwork on issues, besides as get some enjoying time for the non-regulars. The weaker the non-convention schedule, the extra wins a team like the Heels are going to ought to make the NCAA adventure. the two communities you point out, Charleston and Valpo are communities that discover a manner into the Torunament consistantly, so that they are no longer undesirable communities to play.

Weak schedules, because weak conference teams will end up at the bottom of the BCS, with no, or small, bowl bid.

Ohio State, with the schedule they've played, does NOT deserve to be in the Top 2.

Wrong again Kate.
The answer is yes. The perfect example is the fact that Ohio State played in the National Championship game last year. What is worse is the fact that they almost had a rematch with Michigan. The winner of that game would have actually been crowned champion!
The Big East on the other hand went 5 - 0 in their bowl games.
Pretty foolish statement young lady.

Definitely. The Big East is the best example. That conference is the biggest joke in college football.
