First, check to make sure all the cables in your computer a good and tight. If that doesnt work, listen to the number of beeps and then search for "BIOS error # beeps" where # is the number of beeps. What you are experiencing is a hardware failure and your computer isn't starting to protect your other hardware from being affected. Look up the error and try to fix/replace the bad component.

The beeps are what is called the "post". Count how many beeps it makes before shutting off and that will tell you or direct you towards what is failing.
You can get the beep codes here:

It's nearly always the Ram... take it all out and put one in at a time if it still beeps try the other slot.....every beeping computer I have come across it has been the ram is the wrong type or it's faulty or the mother board maxim ram limit has been exceeded. .

PC's run a Power On Self Test (POST) on power up and the number and length of the beeps means something.
Google for: POST beep codes
Then, you can look up the meaning of the beeps on your computer.

This could be a memory problem try taking the memory out then try one stick at a time to find the faulty one.

this occurs when the motherboard connectors are loose, or in the worst case scenario, a device like processor or ram has busted.
just open the cpu, and get all the connecters tightened up. press gently all the cards in their slots , and there you go. you van do that by your self, no need for any knowledge.

That happened to me a few months ago, it was annoying, it turned out it was the motherboard, we needed a new one.....Luckily the computer is still under warranty. Other then that I have no idea but I hope its nothing serious!

Check your ram, cpu, and fans.
Make sure everything is plugged in ok.
Also reset your cmos by moving the cmos jumper to the 'clear' position and then moving it back again.
