I believe we need a new coach who will follow the footsteps of Dr. Tom Osborne.

No doubt, He started out looking good but just squeaking by Wake forest should of been a red flag of his performance not being that great and a bad sign with their upcoming schedule. They should of waited until after the USC game before making a decision and now they are stuck with him for 3 years.

But they did lose alot of their starters so it's hard to tell if its just bad coaching or lack of talent. Either way Nebraska has had a bad history with hiring and firing coaches since Tom osbourne.

No way. Bill Callahan instills integrity in his players and the program by encouraging responsibility and scholarship. He has excellent recruiting skills and typically calls a mean game of football. Bill Callahan is not the problem with the football team, something else is -- probably a lack of confidence.

If by footsteps of Dr. Osborne you mean winning, everyone wants that. If by you really want Osborne back, that's crazy. I don't want anyone who would turn a blind eye to a player dragging his girlfriend down bleachers by her hair, extensive drug abuse and addiction, etc. The football program represents the school and the state here, we need to be well recognized for more than a winning record.

Despite all that, Osborne's era would never exist today even with the same team, coaches, etc. what with USCs and LSUs of today.

Callahan has built a new offense preparing his players for NFL style of football. What more could the players look for?

Hmmm does anyone else remember how long and hard it was for Stevie boy to find Callahan? Be careful what you wish for. I am not certain what the problem is at Nebraska but the Nebraska fans are experiencing something they never have experienced in 40 years. Most programs should be so lucky.

YES!!! He was horrible in Oakland and continued his same ways at Nebraska. How can someone who is 4-3 and was two plays away from being 2-5 say they are doing excellent?

Yes he should be fired.
They've gotten worse- not better on offense the last few games.
Their defense is Horrendus. The black and blue shirts can't stop anybody.
He has no leadership and Neb is def headed in the wrong direction w/ him as coach.

i dont know why they hired him,he tried to fix what wasnt broke, now its shattered. callahans pro system is too complicated for the college players to learn in their limited practice time.

My choice four years ago was Turner Gill and he is still my choice. If it ends up to be Pelini, I'll be ok with that too.
