go to a car shop, buy a can of "brake cleaner", apply it with a cotton ball, rub lightly.
Won't damage rubbers or plastics and won't leave anything behind.

Did you try asking the manufacturers respectively - what solvents are not likely to damage the liquid crystal exhibit floor, and what solvents remove everlasting marker? i can imagine of trichlorethelene as a obtainable (that is a variety of paint stripper, study the labels) yet do not comprehend if it is going to damage the exhibit screen. attempt with a sheet of glass with the everlasting marker on it. extremely obtainable solvents would comprise WD40, laquer thinner, rubbing alcohol, paint thinner, goo lengthy previous, and similar. once you come across a solvent, it will be examined on a tiny section like the bottom nook on the left. be conscious with a q tip, and wipe off in route of the nook in basic terms about on the on the spot with a gentle textile. Make a tiny mark there for experimenting with. that is going to be unimportant if the experiments do no longer artwork. Do it with the exhibit screen off. be conscious the cloth for signs and indicators of bumped off marker. repeat as mandatory. once you be conscious the outcomes operating (if ever) swap the exhibit screen on and be conscious if it shows no sick outcomes contained in the dealt with section. do no longer use a blowtorch on the exhibit floor on on your brother.

Try a tiny bit of rubbing (isopropol) alcohol on a paper towel. It's the stuff used to clean eyeglasses. Most other liquids will damage your LCD screen.

DO NOT spray any liquid on the screen itself, and rub GENTLY.

White spirits or mineral turpentine on a cloth would probably work. Turpentine might be a bit to harsh or a lcd so i d start with the white spirits and if it does nt work quickly wipe it off and try something else.

When i can't get sharpie off something i use the sharpy AGAIN and re-scribble over the mark and quickly use a paper towel to wipe it up. The new ink seems to re-activate the old ink.
But don't go CRAZY with it!

you might try lighter fluid, the liquid type that you use in zippo lighters, I'm sure that would take it off. It can be bought at Wal Mart or K-Mart where cigarettes are sold. Comes in a yellow plastic container, brand name is Ronsonol.
