how do i record from sky to a vcr?

i have your basic sky package,sometimes i would love to be able to record from it,same as i do with bbc1 etc,i have tried tuning the vcr to pick the sky signal up but it wont do it,can this not be done ?

You need to connect the sky box to the VCR with a SCART cable, then select the VCR input (Line 1) or whatever yours is labelled as, then select the SKY channel, then start recording. You cant 'tune' the vcr to the sky box, well, you can actually if you loop the aerial through, but the picture/sound will not be as good and a SCART is easier for you to do.
