Great?....IDK. Consistent? Yes.
So far, the strength of their schedule is not impressive. Granted, they cannot have the same schedule they had last year - playing the likes of Texas before conference, so everything must even out.
I do believe that they will be tested when it comes to playing Illinois and Michigan. I thought that Penn State and Wisconsin would give them a challenge, but now I'm not so sure.
As for the poster above me who is puzzled as to who Kent State is, I'll have him know that their running back (Jervis) is one of the top five running backs in the nation. He's right up there with Michigan's Mike Hart and averages 150+ yards per game. He was a challenge for the Buckeye defense yesterday.
So in Ohio State's defense, it is necessary for everyone to play the little-known schools during conference play (b/c the Big Ten is actually the Big 11). And just because Kent State might not have a "total package" football team, they still had a few good, and one great player.
The Bucks are good....and will continue to improve.
GO BUCKS!

Not a Buckeye fan, but follow the Big Ten.
I'm not sure what to make of OSU this year. Kent State? No offense meant to Kent State but-- Uh, yeah...where is that now? I've never even heard of the school when it comes to football...so I'd expect OSU to win by 40...or any Big Ten to win big for that mater...
The Big Ten seems to get slightly weaker each year. Illinois is potentially a good team IF they can get a bit more consistent QB play to go with their running game--but OSU is the only top 5, 10, or even top 20 school in the Big Ten.
Given that situation, how good really are the Buckeyes? I'm unsure at this point.

Ohio State grow to be no longer dominant final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. They won, what, 5-6 video games via 6 factors or much less and required extra time in 2 video games. They play in a surprisingly susceptible huge 10 convention, sorry even nonetheless that's. they have had some scholarship limitations throughout the time of the previous couple of years so as that usually hurts. @Luke: USC grow to be assume to maintain Bama from repeating final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. A 7-6 season later and that they weren't even interior the image. My boys have been given some help in attending to the NC game final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, yet have been for sure the suited group interior the rustic. OSU won't quit us this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. that's going to be somebody interior the SEC. I mean a three-peat is surprisingly much impossible.

I believe it should say the Buckeyes are great.
Despite grammatical errors, you are very right. The Big Ten has taken the helm of college football.

No, very weak schedule and they have not played any good teams. They would only be a so so team in the SEC.
