i was alive in high school and i wore A FLIP
i think it was because it was PERKY
patty duke had one on the show where she was twin cousins
worked for me..

beehive - fringe over your eyes, masssive amount of hairspray to set the bouffant at the back - black being the choice of colour
(my sister went through this torture daily)
