She's 52, likes dogs, birds and knitting, I need ideas for presents!!!!
All nice idea's so far, but I need an actual present I can present her with...she has every dog toy possible and SHE like's to knit (not me lol) And yes, a better son isn't exactly a bad idea.

Here's an idea ...
1. How about an ORGANIZER for her Knitting Stuff ... you know, the yarn, the needles, everything and anything that has to do with her Knitting (including Patterns).
2. How about getting photos over the years of your mom ... (and don't tell her about it) ... from babyhood to her growing up to getting married ... having her children, seeing them grow ... etc etc etc
Then put these in chronological order in a Scrapbook ... and do it up nice. Have spaces for her to write down her SPECIAL memories of each of these photo pages ... as well as for you to ALSO write special things about your mom that you remember from being a toddler, elementary years, high school, etc.
This way she will have a SPECIAL MEMORY this year and you will have the opportunity to LEARN a LOT about your own (and HER) family history ... and SHARE the special bond that is there between a mother and her child.

if she's got a dog, get them cute accesories, homes, same as for birds. Buy her a nice knitting set, with everything, yarn, guides, etc. Since she's 52, you can also get her a pet to occupy her time and care for, regarding she dsnt have one. or spend a nice day with her! Plus the present.

tell her the present isnt ready yet and then knit her something really small that wont take a lot of time like a hat or a scarf for one of her little stuffed animals

Present her with a knitted Shawl if possible or give hae ahug and sweet Kiss,

A bird feeder for the yard, and some bird seed.

get her a nice calander! or a little diary. if your not sure what to get her, take her for a meal or something:)
