2 year degree is an Associate's Degree = A.A. Associate in Arts

4 years from a college or a univeristy(a collection of colleges)
is a Bachelors - usually in Arts or Sciences - you have a Major and a minor field of work - like economics, math, music

a post graduate degree is a Masters - and after that is a Doctor's degree

A four year course in a university/ college is a bachelors degree while 2 years is an associate. A major in a degree is just a specialization or a specific scope of education. For example, Bachelor of Science in Education Major in English, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Some degree's have majors while some none.

a diploma can lasts 2 years and a bachelor degree is a lot higher standard and definitely takes longer to get.i believe that the bachelor degree is the highest standard of a topic,i.e. of art, of law etc
