He was a misguided communist revolutionary who murdered hundreds, if not thousands, of people.
He himself was later captured by the American military and turned over to the Bolivian Army, who executed him for his crimes against humanity.
Not exactly a role model.

NO, he was not a person I looked up to ever. He left wife and daughter to fight a war that wasn't his to begin with only to be later killed by his "friend" Fidel Castro. I read his books, so no, I never had a TShirt with his face on it.
