I read an artical saying that black holes may not exist. I am kind of confused. How do they form? How do they disappear? Will they ever hit Earth or the sun?

Yes they are real.Hope the information given below helps u to understand what that exactly means.....

A black hole is a region of space whose gravitational field is so powerful that nothing can escape it once it has fallen past a certain point, called the event horizon. The name comes from the fact that even electromagnetic radiation (i.e. light) is unable to escape, rendering the interior invisible. However, black holes can be detected if they interact with matter outside the event horizon, for example by drawing in gas from an orbiting star. The gas spirals inward, heating up to very high temperatures and emitting large amounts of radiation in the process.

While the idea of an object with gravity strong enough to prevent light from escaping was proposed in the 18th century, black holes as presently understood are described by Einstein's theory of general relativity, developed in 1916. This theory predicts that when a large enough amount of mass is present within a sufficiently small region of space, all paths through space are warped inwards towards the center of the volume, forcing all matter and radiation to fall inwardly.

While general relativity describes a black hole as a region of empty space with a pointlike singularity at the center and an event horizon at the outer edge, the description changes when the effects of quantum mechanics are taken into account. Research on this subject indicates that, rather than holding captured matter forever, black holes slowly leak a form of thermal energy called Hawking radiation. However, the final, correct description of black holes, requiring a theory of quantum gravity, is unknown.

Yes, they are real.
The article you read was either old or wrong.
No need to be confused. Black holes are a well established physical concept with tons of observations to back it up.
They form from collapsing supernova cores.
They won't disappear, at least not for a very, very long time.
If they do disappear, it is in form of a very weak radiation.
Earth or the sun will never collide with a black hole. The chances for that to happen are incredibly small.

yes. They form when a planet or star run out of what they were made out of. The Sun will become a black hole in 5 billion years when the helium and hydrogen run out. It will eat up the first 3 planets not including Earth.

A black hole is a theoretical entity that may not exist.
If a black hole could exist it would be a 2 to 3 solar mass entity about 3 km in diameter whose surface gravity was such that the escape velocity would be greater than the speed of light.
It would be formed with the remains of a super nova formed a white dwarf, then a neutron star and then, supposedly a black hole.
A black hole is a legitimate mathematical entity but under rigorous logical analysis a black hole is a non viable entity.
If it could exist it would act like any other large celestial object.

Black Holes do no longer exist. No Probe or spacecraft has ever been close to a minimum of one and no person on planet Earth has ever seen one up close. that's the main ridiculous theory in many circumstances used and dumb sheeple genuinely have faith what they have been advised by employing scientists and astronomers that Black Holes exists while in actuality they in no way seen all and sundry they are doing is verifying their own version of outcomes and records and shoving it in our faces and making choose us to have faith in this delusion called black holes.

Black holes are a reality! nothing escapes from a black hole, not even light! Apparently, there is one in our Nebula I read somewhere. Whether they are a necessary evil for our star systems or not, it's still very uncomfortable to be living in the vicinity of one! Don't you think? Have a great day.

Actually they do and can suck up planets. A black hole is so strong that light it self can not escape. Earth is in no immediate threat since space is so huge. But Black holes do exist they have pictures of them from a satlite telescope.

A black hole is a star that's stronger than a normal star and is located in the center of galaxies. These stars are stronger than light and has a hold on it.
