The idea that there is an omnipotent, omnipresent god floating around somewhere in the sky is perfectly ridiculous to me. So, I don't believe there is a Judeo/Christian/Muslim god, but I think that the combined consciousness of all living things come together to create a sort of god though certainly not omnipotent or unchanging. Sort of a universal energy, well beyond our comprehension.
The old testament was a collection of very old oral history, written down in Babylon, so the likelihood that it is accurate is very small. I can't bring myself to believe that Jesus was actually the son of god, or that he spoke the word of god, and the same holds true for Mohamed and Joseph Smith, so I personally believe that the entire library of monotheistic texts are fiction. Organized religion is an outdated concept that has long since outlived it's usefulness, and it should be quietly put to death.

No.
I've looked at everything to do with religion and it's just not true. Give me all the thumbs down you want, but God is a delusion.
If religion did not exist, can you imagine what the world would be like today?
No 9/11, or honour killings, or discrimination of women and homosexuals. You can't really blame the nihilists.
As Richard Dawkins noted in his ''God delusion'' book (which I would advise anyone to read), Atheists often get accused of attacking the worst of religion and ignoring its good points.
But, unfortunately, those good parts don't always dominate and it's the fact that they don't which makes the whole thing dangerous.
I dare people to start thinking rationally.

Yes, I believe in God. I believe that God is the light within our soul; the pure form of who you came to this Earth as when you were born. We are all a part of this force called God, yet each of us understand it to various degrees. I have personally felt this beautiful and sacred light and I hold it responsible for the feelings of love, inspiration, and creation. Now, I long to spread it and share it, but I'm kept from doing so from my own fear of being hurt by the vulnerability I feel by opening my heart. But to connect such a profound moment with another soul is possibly the greatest gift we can ever know. That is true love; that, to me, is worth being called God.

I have always been strong in the faith even as a teenager
the older i get and the more I learn the more I believe
life is so complex
just life its self like DNA
there just to much order and structure in life
from computers-chemistry-science-music, math
then theres the kindness of others
whet er it be here on line or in the daily life
theres been good times and bad in my life
through it all theres been my faith in God
like any relationship you have to work at it.
Prayer helps-thanking God for all you have
even if you are down and out
I have always found something to be thankful for

Do I believe in God or not? I would have to say that belief in the Almighty, His son (who died for our sins) and confession of one's sins in a guiding principle in my Christian walk.
I think that most people believe in a god but I am not sure if that god is the same God that I believe in. Those that say that they do not believe that there is a god or God really are not sure if one does exist.

Yes I believe in God. I worked with a retired marine who had fought hand to hand combat in Korea and he told me that regardless of what people may think when they are safe and warm that fighting in the trenches and in the fox holes during active combat that there are no atheist. Don't assume things about the afterlife because of pier pressure find out for yourself by studying. I personally know and do also know of very intelligent people who had no belief and after studying religion they became Christian's as am I.

Well i believe there is something, but it might not be exactly what we think it is. and i don't really believe in the traditional god, like Christian or catholic because they say god loves everyone but how come when it comes to gay people or lesbians, he doesn't love them and stupid stuff like that. If that was the case god would be somewhat like Hitler don't you think? I mean discriminating against people he made??? thats dumb thats why if thats the type of god that exist i don't want nothing to do with him.
