You just asked this question again, in a slightly different form. What? You didn't like these answers? They all told you the facts - there is no such thing as the British online lottery. So, that settles the question of whether or not it's authentic - NOT, or a SCAM - IT IS! This is spam email, and it goes out by the millions.

Lottery scam letters are sent out by the thousands and thousands every day.
There are only two things the bad guys want.... your money and your identity.
Unless you have bought a ticket, you CANNOT have won a prize. There are no such things as "email" draws or any other lottery where "no tickets were sold".
If you have an email stating you have won millions, delete it, it's a scam!!

the purpose of a lottery is to make money. now you say, maybe the government is doing it. Why would they? to make money.
So, to make money they get you to buy a lottery ticket. Did you buy one? No? Then its a scam.
People want to believe they won something. Thats how scams work.

Emails about the "british online lottery" fall into the category of "phishing", where the senders of those emails are trying to get people to respond so they can commit identity theft.

I received an actual check in the mail but I don't know why.
I can't find anything about it online. I don't know whether to cash it or not.
