Among all the Metro cities, Delhi scores the lowest on safety. Delhi is known for all crimes against women and criminals backed by political big shots.
So, don't try to show your courage in Delhi... there are many good places in India...where you will be safe even if you travel alone...but not Delhi.

Depends on what type of a person you are.
Usually no one bothers a person going about ones duty; as long as you do not flaunt yourself and crave attention, it is safe.
I know many US tourists, girls who have traveled along , interior India as also Delhi.
They were safe and enjoyed too.
I do not think the answers are from Delhi people.

well it depends on the indivual basically. But do travel in a group or with someone else. And lastly try not to agree to follow or do anything with anyone suspicous looking people or anyone you dont know for that matter and anyone who is like in anyway like Charles Sobhraj ( notorious and a infamous serial killer of western tourist in S.E Asia in the 1970s ).

In day time it is fine...but not in night..Avoid secluded places and as ur not a native ..better keep company and always keep contact numbers handy . Be reachable and avoid going unknown places with strangers...commute in metro or taxis...
