I have a problem...my USB wouldn't work in my laptop and this has been a problem 2 years since... My laptop wouldn't recognize any USB cable's that I attach to it. But one time, I attached my new MP3 to this laptop, and the MP3's light opened (signifying that it's charging). This means that my laptop is able to acknowledge the MP3, but wouldn't show that there's any cables attached in the Desktop. Do I need drivers or anything installed for my laptop to recognize all USBs attached?

Install the USB drivers from the CD the laptop came with, or contact it's manufacturer and ask them to send you the drivers by email / link to the download of it
