If a paternity proves someone is the father of a child, can the mother request the court to not order child support if she does not want it?

If you are receiving County Assistance, the court will order support. Why would you not want it? Dont be fooled into believing that payment of support = right to have visitation. This is a separate matter altogether. If the sperm donor is unfit, unstable, abusive or otherwise illequipped for proper parenting, you can severely limit his interaction. If you didnt want support, you should never have had to county establish paternity, should have used private lab.

If the mother in question is receiving state benefits then no, the father will be pursued for child support.

yes, only if there is no public support. If the states orders you can give it back or put in to a college savings account.

Of course, if she doesn't want it she doesn't have to get it. Usually mothers want TONS of child support so she'd be an angel to actually realease the guy from his bondage :)

Unless she is on state support, foodstamps or mediciad then she can request there be no support.

I'm sure that can be arranged, or legally she could always accept it and then turn around and give it back.

Though I can't imagine who would want to do that!
