Since the dawning of man there has been empires built by them. From the Roman and Odoman, to the Jewish and the Babylonian. All have been crushed by its own weight and the Russian and Chinese Empires are no different. As for America, yes we have experienced freedom and democracy for over two hundred years, we find ourselves under increasing threat of loosing it and being the thing we fought so hard to defeat. We have ran deficients in the billions to finance our military industrial complex, and there are aspects of this that we still don't know about. Our government would say to reveal those secrets would jeopardize national security, but as you know that game was up many years ago. We live in a world of spies, rouge agents that do their nefarious work in the shadows, with no accountability for their actions. They have killed and maimed in our collective name without a civil trial and due process. The pursuit is simple, power at any price, whether it be military, financial, or social, either way there has and will alway be casualties and collatrial damage in this new war. I submit to you that we are in the groaning stages of World War III, not the so-called "War on Terrorism" as George Bush seems to portray. We in this country are fighting a war on two fronts, ideology, and financial, and the casualty has been the middle class, the other is freedom in the name of safety and security. Our founders once said if this country gives up its freedom for safety and security then we deserve neither, now freedoms blood is on their hands. At this time we are fighting a protracted war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and I must say in this war there is no clear victor. This war is not against a nation state but as you know nation states have allowed this to occur. We are fighting against a radical ideology based in part in ignorance, fear, and envy. But it is draining the resources of this country both financial and in blood. Like the Vietnam War before it now we are asking ourselves yet again do we have the political will to fight yet another day, or do we simply turn our swords into plowshares and our guns into jack hammers. As for the financial part, one only need look at the events of September 11, 2001 to know that this was planned in the sixties and early seventies. America and its alies abandoned the Afghan rebels during the invasion of the former U.S.S.R, leaving in place a power vacuum that has existed for decades after. The Taliban and Al Queda are only the products of this. Their twisted view of Islam was pronounced when they ordered the destruction of a Buddhist shrine declaring to themselves that Allah is God Supreme. I must say that the frost was still on the Cold War pumpkin, and the Russians and Chinese stood there looking at the moon maybe perhaps having visions of conquering it for their own ends, instead of seeing the growing threat on their doorstep. This is their backyard not ours, but they have seemed to delight in America using up her treasure. It was evident when the Russians went to the North Pole and staked her claim to all in that frozen tundra, but I wonder if they asked their own flag if it was okay to enter into the depths, I kinda doubt it. What flag was it, their current one or was it the the flag of sickle and of the bear?
We in this country are now at a crossroads, looking out over the horizon of the place we lived when we were young, in a world of magnets and miracles. The middle class of this country is being crushed under the weight of its own folly. Also it is being crushed under the thumbs of the ruling class, but as long as it is running to Wal Mart and Target then who is to care. One only has to look at a recent natural disaster to appreciate this fact, or perhaps instead of one it was three. Katrina and Rita, two sisters of the same spawn, but now the new spawn is the home of the French Quarter. Perhaps San Antonio can be a refuge as the Saints come marching in. But like I always say "Oh Well". Remember Enron, Tyco, and Global Crossing, by the way add Adelphia into this witches brew, they created more damage than anything Category Five, but who is to care. There is still some more on the horizon so don't go away it is going to get quite interesting in this theater. A nice shiny toy for Johnny, and a dress up doll for Suzie, and everyone seems to be talking, so thank you China for so many memories. May we buy you some rice wine with that bowl, or maybe some suzzi? They made both. I hear the Maquilla Dora s down south are pumping it out too, we may need to buy a taco or two. Hold that thought I need my Columbian black water so stay put.......There thats better, thank you Juan Valdez for putting up with me.
The Stock Market goes up the stock market goes down, and remember our go juice at a buck fifty, like they always like to sing in All in the Family, "Those Were The Days". Its like going into a bar and ordering a Long Island Tea in Seattle, it doesn't taste the same, and don't buy your hot sauce in New York City or you will offend the Texans. Back to our Go Juice, but the ruling class doesn't care, it doesn't affect them in the least. Dividends and Stock Options, mmm it sounds like they are enjoying their cocktail, we will just have to put a cherry in it . They are too busy building monuments of themselves, the skylines of our cities seem to be littered by it all. Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today, I want to be a part of it, New York, New York. Those vagabond blues, are leaving today, I got to be a part of it New York New York. Wall and Broad never looked so good. After all we are going to reward ourselves for our genius, for we have seen the Land of Rising Sun and the Forbidden City. Tofu and Tacos and our Caviar. Keep your hands off of my stack. I'm in a high fidelity first class traveling set I think I need a Lear Jet. Cha Ching, did you hear that Arnold, look at our balance sheets, is our board going to be proud? "Well yes they are" Arnold exclaimed. Don't forget your trip to Washington Arnold we got to do some convincing there, and don't forget to offshore your stack or those pesky people will come and get it, besides Arnold we do have a vested interest in keeping it that way. Oh I forgot the Cold War, we need to crank up production in Hong Kong or those jets will not take off. Tell them that Arnold. Tell them we have the best interest of "The People" at heart, and tell them don't worry about those jobs, no one here likes them anyway Arnold so I do see some more outsourcing, we will just keep that one under wraps. Also Arnold tell them those container ships have our future in them, tell them. Tell them Arnold that those tanker ships will take care of us all, tell them Arnold. People dying over there Arnold, well its ok, our partners over there will make more flags for their families, tell them that Arnold.
I just told you a story of what is happening in the United States of America, and it is a true story. Our political leaders have turned a blind eye to this problem for nearly a century, and for good reason. The one thing they fear more than war, the poverty their policies have created, and even their own deaths is loosing their stranglehold of power and influence over the American People. Captains of Industry and our elected leaders would spit on their own graves if it meant keeping power and if they knew it would make them one more buck. Party doesn't matter to them, neither does the havoc they have created in our name. As for this question answerer and the writer of this post, it doesn't matter to them if they are Democrats or Republicans, to me both are just two sides of the same coin. There has not been any independent voices in our political process, why you ask, well I will tell you. First true independent voices will expose the lies that have been told to us by both parties. Second as long as the media only focuses their attention and their coverage of both political parties then as far as they are concerned everything is fine and dandy. Thirdly, as long as the billions of dollars keep flowing into the coffers of both parties, then the true independent voices will remain forever quashed. Our true mortal enemy is not the Taliban, or the Russians, not even the Chinese, those are only symptoms of a much greater disease, it is apathy and silence. They know if they can shape the story instead of telling us the truth, then their power will remain in tact. We have mortgaged the future generations with our own folly and greed, instead of doing what is right. If the notion of credit and borrowing were to go away today and we were to pay for things only if we had it in our checking accounts and cash then this economy will be crushed by its own weight. The Middle Class I hate to say is a panacea, it is a farce. There is no such thing anymore. The gap between the ruling class and the working class is wider than ever with no end in sight. In the end there will be no winners, in the end wealth will be owned by a very select few. All they will have to conquer is themselves, this is the silent war. When this happens then the country of our birth can and will sink into anarchy, and these will be the casualties. When the smoke clears, I really don't know what will be left. Then the lines on this map will truly move from side to side. So all in all it's just another brick in the wall. We don't need no education, we don't need no full control, no dark sarcasm in the classroom, teacher leave those kids alone, hey teacher, leave those kids alone, More to Come. The End
