Im not what you call a "serious gamer" as I do not play my playstation for hours on end every day. Nor am I that skilled on alot of games. but I do love my playstation when I do feel like playing for maybe an hour or two on a boring day. Anyways.....at my Blockbuster store they are haveing a big sale on alot of used playstation2 games for 20 bucks and under and I would like to purchase a few but I need some recomendations on some good games for a novice like me. I dont mind role playing or adventure games as long as it isnt too difficult or too easy. Im not much on sports type. I already own enough racing games. Can anyone suggest some games? I seen a few that might be good but I need to know if they would be too hard for me. here is the list: Hulk, Eregon, X men the revenge, final fantasy Xll, charlie and the chocolate factory, spiderman,

The only game that you've listed that I've played is Final Fantasy XII. I really enjoyed it. Since you are fairly new to gaming, I'll include a good Game Guide link from IGN you may want to look over to familiarize yourself with the game a bit.

eregon was a fun game it can go co-op too so if u want u can play with a friend. which spiderman? 2 and 3 where both good. some games that u dont have on the list Kingdom Hearts had a fun story line same with Kingdom hearts 2 (play the first before the second controls are basically the same and if u dont you might be confused in the seconds story). the first one should be fairly cheap and the second one has been out for a while so it should be cheap too. Star Wars battlefront 2 sells for maybe $20 now it kinda has a story to it and its a fun shooter the controls are relatively easy and it has an instant action and each battle will have a different outcome plus it has rewards for like getting a certain amount of head shots with the sniping rifle or getting a certain amount of kills with your pistol in one life. The medal of honor games (if u like shooter games) have a fun story but not alot of stuff to do once u beat the game but still fun to do the story over again. Ace combat 5 and ace combat zero are both fun games if u like dog fighting in airplanes.Plus you can do missions over and over again earning more credit so u can get more planes.

All the games i have mentioned should be around 20 bucks or less. And most of those games r moderate difficulty and u can change if its too hard or if its too easy (sorry most of them are shooting games but that's the kind of games i like and the are fun). Hope this helps.

Any of the Final Fantasy games are really good. As are the Kingdom Hearts games. And as you have FF XII you already know how to play these games. Kingdom Hearts is a cross between Final Fantasy and Disney.

Gauntlet, Gauntlet Dark Legends are both really good...however the Gauntlet: Seven sins or something to that effect is not worth the money. These are a bit, what I term as Party games...you can play up to 4 players so, though they are easy to beat...the replayability is good. Especially Dark Legends.

Dragon Quest VIII is really fun and straight forward to play.

Dance Dance Revolution games are really fun, but, you need that special controller.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is good however, may be a bit hard...it is a good game to build skill on. And the story line is again very intrigueing.

Harvest Moon...the harvest moon games are quite fun...they are farm Sim games and have very easy game play but, can be a bit repetitive.

Suikoden...I have enjoyed all of these games and again they are fairly easy to figure out. I started on 3 and went from there...Never got to play Suikoden 2 (which is supposed to be one of the best all time games ever)

Riadiata Stories, this game was fun...the story got a bit lame after a while but it was okay and pretty fun.

Xenosaga...any of these games are good. They are an EMENSE story line and be prepared...some of the cut scenes go very long...like 40 or 50 minutes but, it has a nice balance between challenging and fun and intrigueing story line.

Lego Star Wars...I would buy any of the Lego games because they are so cute and good for small kids. They do get repetitive though.

If u want Ps2 games out of that selection i suggest:

Eragon, Spiderman (which are relatively simple) and mayb final fantasy but because its a huge, long game u may find it complicated.

If u really like comic book heroes i suggest Hulk & X-men, but i don't know if u are that much of a Marvel fan. Charlie & the chocolate factory is for kids and isn't that entertaining .

Otherwise I would suggest fantasy games such as Kingdom Hearts, mayb some racing e.g. need for speed, sports eg. tennis or soccer. I find that a variety is always entertaining.

Hope I helped and enjoy ur games, coz thats what matters.
