The Secret is a video type thing about getting what you want basically. It expresses the the true theory that what you think, affects the whole universe around you but especially you. It supposedly is supposed to go something along the lines of this:
When you think about what you don't want, you will only get more of it, or accomplish nothing.
When you think about all the things you do want, and think about having them, think about the joy of losing that wait, owning that house, accomplishing whatever it is in your life, it will come to you. Through time, you will have it. It could be tomorrow, and it could be next week. It could even be in 10 years. that is what people do not accept about it.
Robert worked at an office with many other people around him. All of his coworkers made fun of him, laughed at him, and talked about him. He let this get to him, and it stressed him out so. All he was thinking about was I wish they wouldn't do that anymore!!!!!!!

He just kept thinking negative things.. as soon as he stopped thinking about them, his life transformed.. people magically started leaving him alone. Now this was just an example, but things like this have happened to me.
I don't know, just tell me what you think please no negative comments..

I agree how much it has been overused. When I first saw the movie and heard about the whole concept, it was intriguing to me, but you are right. I believe it and all because it has happened to me when I think about it.. and I thought of it as it was supposed to be.. a secret

'Your outlook in life changes the outcome'. That is "the secret" I go by. Though there are many things which are not in our hand or, not of our own making, but by keeping our thoughts consciously positive we can achieve more than by being negative. We all learn these things with experience, it takes more time for some, less for others. But if there is some video teaching this, it is good learning point for the youngsters...

Huh? I already have all the things I need, and the things I want are just that--wants, and not necessities. With so many people in the world who will NEVER even their basic needs fulfilled the book's premise sounds really self-centered. I do use Secret Deodorant though, and that may be what keeps people from criticizing me.Perhaps that's what Robert needs to buy instead of the book.

I don't know of any book or movie, but I've heard a lot about positive thinking. What I like very much about what you are writing here is that it is to be secret. I have always just shaken my head at people who insist one chant affirmations all day or something...
No, this is a secret thing, a way someone feels about themselves and their life... a secret way that is good. I like what you write. Thanks. I'll give you something for it.

Never heard of the movie, but I'd think it has alot more to do with ACTIONS than just thoughts. If you think about eating a bannana split it won't magically appear in your hands, you can get it if you take the time to go and make it.

I think that it can work, but the whole concept has been totally exploited eg the movie and everything. People have made such a big deal about it and now it is a moneymaking idea.

I've read 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrnes.
The book is based on common logic, but it's a great read for someone who is lacking in positivity.

Yes I heard about it. Seriously who has what he /she wants. certainly positive thinking helps you to get strong , believe on it, being motivated. but always be prepared to not all what you want that's life. you accomplish some goals, and you keep struggling to reach other ones, if you don't get it just say " It wasn't meant to be, " then add " I deserve better" if applicable

Sorry, I can not tell you that secret. This is because, the moment I tell you, it becomes no longer a secret. so secrets are not to be told, if they are to remain secrets!
