Is your spouse still able to look you in the eye during intimate moments? Are you still communicating well about everything? Is he/she avoiding you at all? Does he/she make excuses all the time about where he/she is, or working back late too many times etc.? If you can't answer all these questions it's time you sat down with your spouse and started asking him/her if there is anything going on. If he/she can't talk to you about it there is a problem. I have asked my husband if he has been faithful and he has asked me the same, at times in our marriage, and we have both been able to sit down and talk about it and look each other in the eye as we talked.

I would like to say you just know if your spouse is unfaithful; however I cant. Alot of times you don't know till its to late and someone breaks the news ( maybe a mad girl/boy friend to the spouse). But if you have doubts then there is the starting point in my mind anyway.

I think one of the most important things you need in a relationship is honesty and communication. If you have a problem, question, or something is bothering you about him then you guys should have a good talk. It brings you guys closer together and you wouldnt have to assume so much. But approach him in a nice way, dont turn it into an argument. If you dont have trust in him, how else will your relationship work? I hope that helps you a little

If he comes home with unexplained hickeys an scratches, then there is a good chance he's not. the only way to really know takes time and scheeming, like downloading a program that records key strokes and looking through his emails, following him around, hiring a PI to do the work for you...

Intuition I believe, and trust.
I think if you suspect your partner is having an affair, he probably is.
But I mean that from a non jealousy point of view, if you are paranoid about your partners every move then this obviously does not work for you!!

I hired a private investigator and got photos and video. It sure helped in court. I recommend that you do the same.

Good luck.
