To be sure, and everyone should be worried. The new congress does not have enough clout to override the president's vetoes because the Republicans are looking out for themselves for the most part.Bush and Cheney have led the country down the path of destruction. We the people are also to blame for letting these people stay in office. We should use the power of the vote when it comes time to elect our Reps.We are on our way to another great depression if things continue as they are.Bush is now pushing Russia around, and is on the verge of causing another cold war.As a three tour Vietnam Vet,I have seen first hand what a senseless war is all about. Before people vote for a president or member of Congress they should do a little investigating of that person. There is one point that I would like to make, and that is: Bush was never voted into office. The real president just won the Nobel Peace Price (and also invented the Internet) but we got stuck with an idiot with an IQ of 80.Am I worried? No.I am scared to death!!!.We just have to make sure that the next election is not close enough to let this sort of thing happen again, and pray that it is not rigged again.

Your question is a really good one, yet I see no answers appropriate to your question. Should people be worried about the direction in which our nation is going (as determined and moved by our politicians)? The right answer is yes!
First of all, we are in an illegal and lengthy war. We will be there for quiet sometime. The real truth behind this war was covered up by people in the White House, so the general public and newsmedia DO NOT really know what the Iraq War is all about. People can not comment as they don't know truth from fiction and they can not see or devise a good exit strategy for this illegal and murderous war!
The good thing about your question is that it puts this issue in front of the people. Well, at least, in front of perhaps a dozen or so people reading this question on Yahoo! Answers. Not so effective, if you ask me.
Bad government administrators, criminal administrators, managing our nation's foreign affairs activities will cause a lot of harm for our nation as well as bringing death to untold millions abroad.
Indictments should come down, even at this time, as there is no other way to rectify this situation and bring about peace and a better world.
I for one am concerned about the direction that our present government is taking the country and I would like to see change happen. Even Obama, Hillary, and Republican presidential candidates are not yet on the right track on US foreign policy. Foreign policy affects our nation's economy and our greater well-being!
Your question, put before everyone in America is a very good question indeed! I gave you a star, but wished that I could have given you five or more myself.
Yours,
Max

The Bush Admn. has done more harm to America than any Terrorists ! Bush has spent more National treasure the all the past Presidents all combined! If that isn't High Treason or at least an impeachable crime , I would rather have Clinton get a different B-J every day ! Bush should be charged with war crimes and high treason and when found guilty,,, Publicly Execute Him!!!!!!

I'm worried we aren't nearly conservative enough. We still murder babies, remove any mention of God from shools and public squares but cow tow to every other religion. We want to legalize gay marriage. Yes I am very concerned because on top of all of this, people actually want to elect Hillary Clinton! Probably the only person guaranteed to make it all worse.

absolutely, with the pelosi reid regime in power, poltics have become exponentially less about reason and common sense and more about grandstanding and posturing. given the antics of pelosi in syria and harry reid with the ridiculous all nighter, you wonder when will it end.
