Pick a race and class on what you think you would actually "be" if you lived in the world of warcraft. Because you'll like the game better if you really like your character. Don't go on bonuses or statistics.... Pick a race because you like the way it looks and that's what you would be if you had a choice and pick a class based on your personality. I'm a human warrior with the alliance because that's really the way my personality leans. I don't know your personality so I don't know what you should be. And don't worry about choosing either alliance or horde....remember one side is only "evil" when viewed from there enemies perspective.

One thing you should be careful about though is - decide whether you like your character by about lvl 15 or so....you don't want to put a lot of work into a character you don't like so if you don't like your character by about lvl 15 then just make another one...after about lvl 15 you start putting a lot of work into them. So, try them all if you have to...just remember "It's a game", and it's for fun! I've been playing for 6 months and I love it.

The nifty thing about this particular game is that the character customization is pretty wonderful. Those who worked toward the development of this strived to make each class as equal as possible, each with its own weaknesses and strengths. Obviously, some are going to be more vulnerable than others in player-vs-player combat, but overall it's all a matter of intuition. Go with what you would feel most comfortable playing, depending on your interests: magic, melee combat, ranged combat, minions/pets, healing... the list goes on and on. Just remember that you'll be staring at the same character for as long as you play it, so choose carefully on the races (not much differs between each, besides the faction). In addition, you'll be able to specialize in one or more of the three talent trees within each class. There's a ton of customization involved in WoW, in case you haven't noticed :)

i like what Thal reported., I actually have a Tauren Hunter, its super, Doesnt surely count number what race you're, however the Hunter is all around super! you need to use any weapon,(you basically could desire to learn the skill from a coach) the better section is, is your puppy. you could deliver your puppy in first and attack, then you extremely can are available in and get the superb blow and get XP nevertheless. I even have an Undead Priest. Priest are relaxing too. you could Rez, heal, etc. wish this helped

Warrior and Priests are the most in demand because if you get addicted (which you probly will) and get to level 70 then the game becomes very group mission oriented and every group needs a warrior and a healer or no dice.

Well, read the guides online, at the site, and try and decide what you want for yourself. Personally, I'm a rogue. NOT ROUGE!
