I have loved an Angel before, and His wings would radiate the warmth of his love. He would embrace me when I was in need, and he loved me when I was not whole enough to love others. He is still a part of my life, he is a part of me eternally.
AWESOME QUESTION

No.... I don't think that this is about falling in love with an angel. And, in a way, this statement is kinda true.
I mean, we, humans, sometimes love so that in return, we could be loved. And that's just being human (according to this statement).
But angels, who are considered a little more than humans, love for a different reason. They don't love so that they'd be loved in return. Instead, they love just for the sake of loving. In short, they love because they can. Now, that's angelic. It's divine love. Like God's.

Yes, I have loved an angel (my great grandmother) She was a beautifully soul and not because she was my grandmother. She gave completely of herself and expected nothing in return, she helped others financially, taken in a child or two that didn't belong to her and raised them as her own(mind you it was not like today either where you get money to take care of that child) the money came from her own pocket and her second job she had to take on to support them, not once did she ever say it was a burden or hard, she never complained. She helped others all the time giving food from her livestock or fruits and veggies garden hiring people to help out just so that they could get a bit of extra income for their families( she knew if she offered to give them money they would take offense) so she created false jobs, etc. I could go and on about all the things I seen her do over her life span but it would take more than this page and I'm sure anyway most people wouldn't want an answer that long anyway. She was simply a human angel, giving always and exprcting nothing.

You are being way too literal, or psychotic. In this context I think the point being made is that such a love is good and generous; to love with no expectation of anything in return.
If you think about it, actually loving an angel would be frustrating on many levels. First and foremost, that they don't exist; secondly, if it was romantic love that would be a bummer also because I have read that they have no genitals, but even if they did; they are not very nice creatures.
They are god's messengers and punishers and if I ever met one I would try to chase it out with a broom and probably get fried on the spot. Fortunately, since my particular psychosis does not include a need to create imaginary beings to populate my mind; I don't have to worry about that.

I think people that can love like that are very rare, but it's not impossible. I know a lot of good, kind, generous people. But I've never personally known anyone who is completely angelic in those terms, no. I wonder if even Mother Theresa was that pure.
Exception! (Most) Parents love their children no matter what. And that's biological -- not really a choice.

To love for the sake of being loved? That is NOT human! At least for "this" human. I don't think I have ever loved someone, and thought to myself, 'hmmm? I think I'll love him or her, so they'll love me.' Who could answer this any other way? ~~ ...and believe me, I ain't no angel!

in some people's life it might be true...
but i think there is no such thing as a perfect
and idealistic "person"
you fall in love, then you grow in love with the person
more and more each day.....there is no happily ever after

I think the closest I've come is loving someone even when it really, really hurt and didn't make any sense. Sometimes I think we end up loving an idea instead of a person.

I don't know. I've found that it's pretty hard to not be loved by those I love. Maybe it could be true if someone is so detached and distant that their love stands there unaffected, just waiting for those who wish for it.
