Should i send ex this bday gift?
it has been a few wks since he officially broke up with me after 4 years b/c he was unhappy... should i send a book da vinci code he always wanted to read (ordered on amazon for dirt cheap), and a plain card that just says happy bday... i won't wrap the present up, just send it in plain manila envelope. of course, i'm not gonna lie, i would at least hope he will say thank you, but even if he doesn't, i would feel i have done my part and, just as a nice way for me to end this chapter in my life and move on.
I took the break up badly and I did ask him back before but he said he wants to be single, feels stress-free, tell me to not have hope, find another man. i haven't called him in a couple of weeks and don't plan to.
If you had to put your money on the possibility of him calling back or even think about getting back in the long run, would it more likely to happen if i didn't send him gift or card on his bday OR if i do send him gift on his bday?

Years of experience tells me you'd be wasting your time.
Take up golf or something and forget about him. The sooner you do, the better off you'll be.

well the first time I answered I said send it if you just wasn't trying to win him back. Now its obvious you want to try to draw him back. Its not going to work its hard to move on, but dig deep and find the strength if its meant to be in the future it will be, but maybe (even though its hard to see now) there is someone better out there for you.
I know this is not what you want to hear, but you are starting to come across as way to needy and thats not a way to get him back just a way to lose him forever.

Purely due to what u wrote in the second paragraph- do NOT send it to him. You need to no longer care. And the only way u should, is if he comes running back to you. Not the other way round.

Admit to yourself that all you are trying to do is manipulate a response out of him.
Then admit to yourself that this relationship is over.
You are an adult now, start acting one! You used to play these games with boys in high school. Where did it get you?
