Oh my God people, he is the only artist who i haven't seen or heard of a person who doesn't like him. I really think he was THAT amazing.

i'm not sure that he is the all time most beloved in my opinion.. but he is one of the most beloved..

he was that amazing.. incredible vocal range.. interesting and well thought lyrics..

he was definitely a talented man..

No. He may be the most beloved singer of all time, but not quite the most beloved artist. There are better people out there that are better loved and more acclaimed. Queen as a whole may be one of the most beloved acts of all time though.

I think you could put him on a list of most beloved. It does seem that almost everyone either likes him or at least enjoys his work. I've even heard homophobes say what a great talent he was.

Yes he was talented, and I do like Queen's music, but I wouldn't call him the most beloved. There are others more talented.

Freddy Mercury was good, he undoubtedly was a great singer/songwriter, however, if I had my choice between him and someone else, such as Robert Plant, or even Scot Weiland, I'd choose them. :(

UNFORTUNATELY there are people who are just like 'oh he was a queer'blahblahblah, but yeah, they are a minority thankfully!!
But I'd still say more people Elvis, definitely!
