graveyard tag. it was played when we were around 7-10 years old as soon as it got dark in the summer. if you were caught by 'the ghost' you were a tombstone. only another live person could tag you and bring you back. you had to turn everyone into a tombstone to win.
We would run and hide and scare the hell out of each other at night in the hills where i lived. there is NOTHING like hiding, panting and sweating, and feeling a hand grab your shoulder from behind saying 'gotchya!' damn near widdled my pants sometimes!

I played jacks with my older sister (it was the only game she would play)
My brother and I would play almost any game. We played Sorry, Monopoly, Chinese Checkers, Pente, Life, Mouse Trap, Operation, Quinto, Facts in Five, Battle Ship - almost any board game we could find.
When we tired of board games we would play cards. Canasta, Seven up, Rummy, Red Over Black, Speed, War.
As a family on Saturday nights we would play cards - Seven Up and Hearts were are favorites. Sometimes we would play Monopoly.
My day, my brother and I were (and still are) very competetive.

I liked Scrabble.
I played with my parents.
We were very competitive.

The one where you take a huge rainbow parachute and all the kids stand around it and hold and piece and you put foam balls in the middle and toss them in the air and then run under the fabric and let it fall over you, taking turns running around...

Yahtzee ! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yahtzee
Played it for years during ski-trips in the 60-80's with my parents and my brothers.
It was good easy fun, and a simple game to carry in the car.

I loved playing with my "Barbies". I'd play with anyone who had Barbies, Barbie clothes or any Barbie accessories!! I loved to trade with my friends. I think I liked playing with them because I thought it was practice for being a grown-up.
