Hilster why don't you STFU go play somewhere or bbq some ribs? just because your lsu lost doesn't mean you are allowed to hate on other teams like a broad that hasn't been tapped for years.

I blame the coaches, not the back up QB. Yes, he should have thrown the ball away, but the coaches should have been preaching that to him before the play...or they should have just called for the field goal, knowing they had a backup QB trying to win the game.

Yeah, I was screaming at my TV! All he had to do was not do something stupid like throw an interception, but, I never pictured that happening. That was just frustrating! From that distance, that was a guarantee tie. I can't blame them for running another play since they had the down and were so close to the end zone that they had to try to see if they could win outright.

In hindsight, I don't blame Riley though, he was caught up in the moment and it was his first start. He did great advancing the ball from the 5 all the way there in under one minute and the way he handled that low snap to throw for 30+ yards in the last drive speaks volumes to his potential....BUT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN #1!

I have to say, it was the stupidest thing I've ever seen happen in a football game, ever. I've seen stupid archival films, but it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a football game that was playing live right before me. He's a redshirt freshman, so I can see the mistake, but I have to say, it was the stupidest way to lose a game that you should have at least tied and taken into overtime that I've ever seen. It was absolutely senseless. There's going to be fallout over this amongst the Cal faithful, I know that. Those hippies aren't going to be all peace and love after this. They could have been #1 had they won. Strangest ending of a game I've ever seen, and the strangest ending for a Cal team since The Play against Stanford so long ago.

Why did the coach take the chance of running another play. He knows there are only 14 seconds left and they don't have any timeouts if something like that happened.
