I mean do you need to show your visa permit and other stuff; as you're actually travelling from the US to Canada...and thus you're crossing borders?

The reason why I'm asking this question was because I was thinking of taking my car and going to Vancouver and Victoria, BC...instead of Olympia and Portland, Oregon.

I really need to know what the difficulties are...

passport should be good, or a birth certificate, if you are a US citizen. If you aren't then I'm not sure. But to get over the Washington Canada border you need passport or id with birth certificate... howvere that is changing to just passport

Bring your passport and expect about 45 minutes delay. Other than that, go for it.
